Hi Guys! Just a quick hello to thank you and members of your church for your kindnesses to me. Here is my latest poem- it is very simple, but nevertheless I hope that it may prove to be a blessing to someone. EB CMM - 'ONE DAY AT A TIME' :-)
Early in the morning is best.
The world has not yet come in,
Wake up then and go with joy to the place
Where your soul can repose
And your sighs find a place.
With expectancy open The Word at your hand
And be glad that you have it
As so many are bereft of the gift in our land.
Pray first that your mind may be opened up wide
To feast in this daily portion that many don’t mind.
Be prepared to find things that you never did know
And even to find old familiar verses
Glow with beauty anew.
Be assured that it is here where you answers will find,
And rejoice that there is such a book of this kind.
Each word so perfectly positioned since aye,
And a promise for you to light up the way.
If you a gift today would like to send,
Then remember a bible txt is likely your best friend.
Throughout the day call to mind your morning read
And as the day slowly passes upon it do feed.
Night has come and this same Word waits for you now-
To comfort, console and direct you once more.

Hi,
having heard Tommy preach at CLAN I was delighted to find online sermon audio's which I now keenly follow and reflect on. Thank you Tommy for your sermon which included teaching on "moving on" out of the wilderness, and away from our own particular mountains ( mine being an eating disorder ). I know that God is speaking to me through your words and I didn't simply find this site by chance. God puts people in our lives and leads us to others for a reason. It's fantastic to know about the exciting things that God is doing at Martin's Memorial. Blessings to you all. Kenny

Fascinated to follow the link from CLAN to this. My grandmother's middle name was Martin, and her brother told me that the middle name was ' after Mr Martin, of Martin's Memorial Church, Stornoway'. We will be visiting the island this summer, and hope to be able to come along.

Blessings to you from Los Angeles -
Through my friendship with the fantastic Iain MacKinnon I have heard about all the amazing things going on at Martin's Memorial. During this season of Lent, the folks in my congregation will be coming alongside you and praying for your growth and provision through the Holy Spirit in your midst. Keep going. You ARE the Good News!
Delighted to hear that God has been moving in such a special way with you at Martin's Memorial. We are all excited and encouraged and waiting for the next chapter! Bless you all.

I thank God for you all at Martin's Memorial Church. I was overwhelmed by your welcome, your kindness, and your love shown to me while I was visiting over your recent communions. May the Lord continue to bless you richly and encourage you greatly. Will continue to pray for you in these precious days. With a grateful heart! (http://www.highkirk.com)
We visited Stornoway as part of a yacht crew for the Sail Hebrides Festival last week. Your friendly banner attracted us when we were looking around for a church and we were delighted by the warm welcome, worship and sermon. We felt at home and left refreshed. Thank you!

Thank you Lord for guiding me to Martins Memorial Church during my recent visit to the island in June. It was a joy to be a part of the congregation and everyone was so friendly and the Rev Tommy MacNeil truly is a messenger who in his special way delivers your word. Thank you Lord also for the wonders of technology which enables me to listen to Tommys morning sermons and I am forever thankful to you for knowing that you are always there for me.Glory to the most high.
God Bless.

Hi
I'd just like to leave a note of thanks for Tommy. I am a member of Townhead Parish Church in Coatbridge and was priviledged to hear your sermon tonight (Good Friday 2/4/2010) during our Easter Encounter celebrations. I thoroughly enjoyed, and was moved by the message you delivered to our congregation and visitors, but did not get the chance to thank you personally. The Lord has truly blessed you with the gift of communication, not just your words but your whole demeanor simply oozed spirituality and at one point I was moved to tears.
Thank you again and may The Lord continue to bless you in this way.

Hi there
Just popped by your website - great to see some of the excellent work you are doing in Stornoway. Hope the January Alpha course went well (I see you are still very much involved Iain - love to all the family from John Knox Parish in Stewarton, Ayrshire!).
Every blessing, Peter and the team at Alpha Scotland, Glasgow.
My wife, son and myself were visiting from America in July 2009. We came to a prayer meeting with george, and wanted to say that we were bless temendously. Looking forward to visiting with you again in the future. May God richly bless you all. In His service Carl and Agnes Cain Pennslyvania U.S.A.

the new site is fantastic. We pray for you often and rejoice to see God's hand of amazing grace upon this ministry.
With all our love and every blessing in Christ.

Wonderful new website! Great to see all that God is continuing to do at Martins. I am excited for you as you begin the refurbishment; God needs new wineskins in this land and Martins is surely one of them. Keeping faithful to the Word of God and the historical call to your community whilst allowing the Spirit to lead you into His new day is exactly how the church has remained faithful and relevant for 2000 years. What you are doing is not only building on the many years of faithful ministry that has gone before you, but you are also being truly contemporary for today and planning for tomorrow. This is your time!! God Bless. Rev. Jim Ritchie, National Director, The Scotland Trust

Hi, everyone. This site is great, and a big improvement on the older one. This is to wish you all every blessing from here in the Deep South of Northumberland. We hope that Stornoway PS will be the same shining light that Martin's building always has been. Pray for our own work especially amongst the younger folk of Prudhoe and the surrounding areas. See you again soon, we hope.

Well done Paul - what an amazing job you've done of the new website. It is a real joy and privilidge to be part of a church that is seeking to take the message of Jesus Christ to a world that don't yet know Him, in a language they understand. May God continue to bless the work of Martins, and all of the churches in the Western Isles and to the far ends of the earth, who are preaching the love of Jesus and reaching out to the world around us.
Was thrilled to worship at Martins last week. It was such a blessing to hear the uncompromised word of God preached with power and annointing. I am excited to know i can join in by having the services relayed on my computer. Angela Davidson
